It’s a typical day at the beach for lovebirds Frankie and Dee Dee along with their friends. But their plans are interrupted by new want to be singing sensation, Sugar Kane and her publicist as well and Eric Von Zipper and his gang who are up to no good. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Beach Blanket Bingo”.

· Bonehead is unconscious in the water as Lorelei, the mermaid, swims toward him. At one point, Lorelei’s feet are shown in the water.

· Eric Von Zipper and his gang are singing the “Follow the Leader” number at the pool hall. Near the end of the song, the gang stands Eric up on the pool table. In the wider view of the table, the light is hanging down behind his right shoulder. In the close-up when Eric yells, “Right”, the light is behind his left shoulder.

· After Sugar sings at the club, she’s getting her picture taken by Bullets. In the closer view, the man with the dark hair to her left has his left hand on the left shoulder of the blonde man in the suit next to him. It cuts to a farther view and his hand is down.

· Lorelei swims up to Bonehead and puts her arms on his surfboard. In the wider view, her right arm is crossed in front of the left. It cuts to a close-up when Bonehead says, “Hey”, and it’s her left arm in front of the right. The scene cuts back to the wider view when Bonehead asks if she lives around there and it’s her right arm in front of the left again. A few moments later, when it cuts back to the closer view, her arms have switched position again.

· Eric Von Zipper and his gang are going to kidnap Sugar. Eric is by himself when he falls through the window but when he sits up, the rest of the gang is standing above him.

“Beach Blanket Bingo” (1965) stars Frankie Avalon, Annette Funicello, Deborah Walley, Harvey Lembeck, John Ashley, Jody McCrea, Donna Loren, Marta Kristen, Linda Evans, Don Rickles, Paul Lynde, and Buster Keaton. It runs 98 minutes and is Unrated.
