The townspeople of Rose Creek are desperate to find a way to end Bartholomew Bogue’s murderous hold on the town. When Chisolm arrives in town, they convince him to help them with their plight. Gathering six other men to help, the seven try to save Rose Creek from Bogue’s clutches. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for in 2016’s “The Magnificent Seven”.

· During the melee at the church, the townspeople leave and are standing outside. A close-up, front view of Matthew Cullen shows his left arm is around Emma while he’s holding his hat in his right hand. He’s then shown tossing the hat to the ground. In the next rear view of them, Matthew is now holding his hat in his left hand again. His hands are empty when he runs to help one of the others.

· Chisolm arrives in town and gets a drink at the bar while he’s talking to the bartender. The glass and bottle are on the bar during the scene. After Chisolm shoots, Josh Faraday makes the “pity, I’d just ordered a drink” comment and Chisolm scoots the glass across the bar top. The glass and bottle remain on the bar but in the wider view, as Chisolm walks out, the glass and bottle are gone.

· Billy Rocks is shown stabbing a man. In the front view, he stabs the man in the upper left of his chest. A quick rear view of the man shows his blood covering the back of his shirt. A few moments later, Billy retrieves the knife and it’s in the middle of the man’s stomach.

· After returning to town with the dynamite, there is a view of a man taking down the “Bogue Mining Office” banner on the side of the building. A few scenes later, when Jack Horne rides up to Goodnight Robicheaux on the street, the banner is back on the side of the building.

· Robicheaux and two of the men from town are placing the bell in the steeple of the church. In the close-up view, when they ring the bell, the bell is lower, even with the men. It cuts to a far view and the bell is hanging high in the steeple, over the head of those standing nearby. It cuts back to the closer view and the bell is lower again.

“The Magnificent Seven” (2016) stars Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, Lee Byung-Hun, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Martin Sensmeier, Haley Bennett, Peter Sarsgaard, Luke Grimes and Matt Bomer. It runs 132 minutes and is rated PG-13 for extended and intense sequences of Western violence, and for historical smoking, some language and suggestive material.
